Comprehensive School Counseling Program 

The mission of the School District of New Holstein’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students. In partnership with other educators, parents or guardians and the community, school counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students in the School District of New Holstein have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.

The goal of a comprehensive school counseling program is to help ALL K-12 students:

Guidance Curriculum

Our comprehensive school counseling program provides curriculum in a developmental manner to all students with the purpose of increasing student awareness, skill development and appreciation of skills needed in everyday life. Components of the Guidance Curriculum include:

  • Managing Conflicts
  • Self-Esteem
  • Intrapersonal Development
  • Working in Groups

Individual Student Planning

Our comprehensive school counseling program assists students in planning, monitoring and managing their educational, personal and career development. Student/Parent Educational and Career Planning (SPEC) Conferences are held in 5th grade. Components of Individual Student Planning include:

Responsive Services
