District Curriculum

  • Power Standards – In the Spring of 2003, the School District of New Holstein took on a major review of the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards and identified key benchmarks in each standard as the Power Standards and Benchmarks for our District. Creating Power Standards was in effect narrowing to the essentials that curriculum that is essential for our students to know to be able to succeed from one grade level to the next through graduation from our schools. Unit Plans and lessons in each class are designed around these local Power Standards and benchmarks.
