High School English Instructor Email div>Welcome to my webpages. My name is Donna Nett-Heus. I have been a member of the New Holstein High School community .for most of my life. My 28 years of teaching experience has found me aiding a blind English teacher in Two Rivers, teaching English 8 at Chilton Middle School, and now at New Holstein High School--my alma mater. Currently, I am teaching Advanced Placement Language and Composition (APLaC) and English 10. My children, Lucas and Emily, are grown and live in Milwaukee and Minneapolis, respectively. Each is happy and successful. With a recent divorce, I've been forced to sell my home in New Holstein. Sometimes, life has different ideas for us. I'm currently a resident of Appleton and am enjoying ballroom dance classes and the Performing Arts Center, and I'm now a Master Gardener. I have directed the fall play for three years, advised Student Council for five years, and successfully coached forensics for twenty-seven years. In addition, I acted as assistant poms coach. I am also a National Honor Society faculty advisor. I have written curriculum and taught twelve different courses in my years in New Holstein; needless to say, I am the Paul Molitor of my department. I love teaching because I believe education is the great equalizer. It allows everyone from every background to succeed if they choose. I love to facilitate that desire. I love teaching English because whether we like it or not, we are judged on how we present ourselves both orally and in writing. My challenge is to help students find their voices and present themselves in the best light possible. Welcome to the wonderful world of English!
