The New Holstein Elementary School 4K Extended Care and Before and After School Program

Welcome to the New Holstein Elementary School Husky Den Program. The Husky Den is an extended care program that offers a safe, organized, and positive environment for children to socialize, develop character-building skills, and think creatively. This program is offered to families in the New Holstein School District who have children ages 4 and up and are enrolled in grades 4K-5th. The program is located at the New Holstein Elementary School.

PROGRAM PURPOSE

The purpose of the Husky Den is to provide each child with a safe, organized and positive environment that encourages them to develop their academic skills and socialize in a controlled atmosphere.

STAFF

Our fully qualified staff will provide strong leadership and an enriching environment for constant growth and success. The staff's goal is for each child to feel successful about their accomplishments.

HOURS OF OPERATION

***Effective July 1, 2024, Husky Den will implement a LATE FEE for pick up after 6:00 pm***  $10 for pick up after 6:00 pm and $20 for pick up after 6:30 pm

 Summer: 5:45 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday in July and August                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Before Care: 5:45 am - 7:30 am every school day                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

After Care: 3:00 - 6:00 pm for 4K - 5th grade students on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday                                                                                                                                       

Wednesday: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm to accommodate early release day                                                                                                                                                                                                                

4K Students: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, and 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm                                                               

School Breaks, Conferences, and In-Services: 5:45 am - 6:00 pm, excluding holidays 

Scheduled Days Off: For days when school is not in session (but not weather-related), families will receive a form to indicate their child's attendance. These forms will include a DUE DATE  for submission. If the forms are not returned by the due date, we will assume your child will not attend. If enrollment for that day does not exceed 10 children, Husky Den will be closed. Families will be notified in advance. (For example: for the upcoming scheduled day off on February 21, forms must be returned by February 7. If we do not have more than 10 children enrolled for that day, we will contact families to confirm that Husky Den will be closed.) 

Weather-Related School Closures: On days when school is closed due to weather, Husky Den will also be CLOSED. Please plan accordingly. Please note: If there is a 2-hour delay, Husky Den will still open at 5:45 a.m. In the event of inclement weather and school releases early, Husky Den will remain open.

Summer School: 5:45 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, during and around summer school classes

4K students eat together in the cafeteria every day between 4K and Husky Den

TUITION AND CONTACT INFORMATION

Registration Fee: There is a one-time FAMILY registration of $15                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Tuition: $3 per hour per child billed and paid bi-monthly after the first two weeks of care.                                                                                                                                                                         

Late Fee: Effective July 1, 2024, Husky Den will implement a LATE FEE for students picked up after 6:00 pm : $10 for pick up after 6:00 pm and $20 for pick up after 6:30 pm
