By now, Seniors heading to college and needing a way to pay for it should be scoping out Area Scholarships Currently Available. Many new scholarships have been added including the Harvey G. Baker Scholarship. This scholarship is open to graduating seniors that have lived in Calumet County for all four years of high school, are attending a UW school system, and previous graduates in college. This is a scholarship that you can apply for every year you are in college so record it in a calendar to remind you to apply year after year. The application must be typed and is due February 14th, 2026. Another one is the Leonard Gentine Scholarship. This one is available to Seniors who are pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university (not technical college) in dairy science, food science, food technology, general business, international business, or marketing.
